TwilightA Poem by Loren R LoveA poem about lifeTWILIGHT In the twilight’s glow as day turns to night Another day ends as mother turns out the light Another day older and another day spent Was it made special or did you just pay the rent Did you notice the limp when a stranger walked by Or the look of wonder in the little child’s eye Did you hug your pet and hold someone close Or did you stare at a screen versus smelling a rose Did you take a ride just to be in the wind Smelling the air as it rushed by your skin Took a left instead of the usual right Down a different road with nowhere in sight Did you relish each moment for the beauty it holds Exploring the amazing mystery as each hour unfolds Or did you worry about things that might have gone wrong Wishing what you were doing didn’t take so long The things that matter can never be bought Yet we waste all these riches with nary a thought Time costs nothing yet its more precious than gold In the blink of an eye we’re fragile and old © 2013 Loren R LoveReviews
