Life Line

threw a life line
from my heart to yours
but it didn't save you
blood veins severed

silence between voices
you've chosen for us
without a care about
anyone but your pain

couldn't trust me I know
but yet you did, didn't you
we shared precious secrets
of which I still hold within

let my soul touch yours
reality was too much though
you ran away from security
and left new sacred friends

when there was no need
became your friend
despite words of others
cause I felt you differently

kindness wasn't enough
you couldn't see beyond
hurt others caused
I wanted happiness your way

do you not know my view
I've seen the woman in you
beauty in ink, heart and soul
all absolutely breathtaking

thankful for our lives crossing
more than you will ever believe
take care of you in all things
luv & hugs your way xo :)

Sometimes all we can do is throw a life line to those we love. The choice is for them to pick it up or not. I never believe what others say...only the source..it makes life much more simpler and allows me to trust those I choose to love.. xo Great write..
