My Broken Heart

I wrote this in a time of depression. When my boyfriend first broke up with me. Ugh. Men.

Why did I ever let myself fall in love with you?

So you could break my heart into a million pieces?

Well I hope you're happy now because it worked.

 

Why me? Out of all the other girls' hearts you could have broken. Why me?

Did I look fragile? Easy to break?

 

Did you have fun playing your little mind games?

Are you having fun watching me now? My skin all scratched and broken.

How can you sleep at night? Knowing you broke my heart.

Does it break your heart too or does the sight of my pain please you?

 

Well no more. I will suck it up and hide it behind the same smile I've always put on.

I will not give you the satisfaction of seeing my pain.

 

But still in spite of it all...

I will still love you with all the pieces

I have left of my broken heart.
