Pieces of EarthA Poem by Stephen C MorganInspired by...life.
Shattered lives,
Shattered souls, Nothing found but endless goals. Little hope, Little change, Nothing found but hate to exchange. Is this how we want to manipulate the very intelligence we can grasp? Do we want our children to become everything that we hate? Our destructive ways, the fear that we bring, The feeble cries some of us do sing. Is this how we want to be remembered? Do we want to cause everlasting death and needless pain? Our torturous ways, the ignorance we uphold, The heartless voids that embed us in cold. Drowning, flailing, Where has your smile gone? Breath gone, life gone, This is my song. Trapped, secluded, Is there a door? Darkness, nothingness, My heart beats no more. Child. Child. Please do not cry. Life will go and pass you by. Bye. Bye. It's our time to die. Shattered lives, Shattered souls, Nothing found but endless goals. Little hope, Little change, Nothing found but hate to exchange. Nothing found but hate to exchange. © 2013 Stephen C MorganAuthor's Note
