The incessant path of time, never faltering, never deceiving, is a threat to us all. The age grows like a cancer, eating away persistently at the ignorant bliss of our minds. Why would we want to know? Would we want to know? Weaving like the interior of a cobweb does a family tree spread out, then only to be startled back into reality and broken in a moments notice. The feeling changes, recognition is found. Ice covers the long deceased remnants of hope. Is that a reflection of our future? Or is that the message we've always cowered from? The sun is setting on these withered pages, My frail hand moving no more. Where has the day gone? Gone. Where have you gone? The sparkle has leaped alongside its last final wish. Books closing, clocks stopping and heart beats fading. How has evolution led to this?
I know that there are quite a few questions in this 'poem' but I'm guessing it would appeal differently to different people. Let me know if you think they are effective or not. Thank you.
