Deeply Missing You

Deeply Missing You

A Poem by Emalie Todd

Freedom,
After fifteen years apart,
You and I can have it together.

Honeybee,
I have spent weekend after weekend
Looking out the window,
Hoping I was just in a bad dream.

I was in a world of my own.
My heart knowing you were gone,
But my brain telling me you weren't.

Now,
After allof these days,
I can finally reunite with my love.

I missed you,
Please don't be scared when
They put me beside you.
I am almost home.
