Little and lest

Little and lest

A Poem by Purnanshu

When everyone around him
Looks happier than he be,
When the world seems unjust
An untrue epiphany,
When he is are low
But the people too blind to see
That when a god cries
There's always a calamity
Yet they mock and laugh and tease
Unaware of the pain he feels
He won't say, he won't share
There's no one left for him to see;
As a friend as a lover
Or as consoling soul to grieve
With him and for him
Damn he's so desolate indeed.
I wish I could help him
But I couldn't help believe
This soul that has been suffering,
Yes, that somebody is me.
