Horses

Horses

A Poem by Alexander D. May
"

A life of simplicity, something I know is coming soon :)

"
he snow lightly falls on the ground
As I hear the horses trot throughout life
                       So easily

Oh how I wish I could be them
Not because I wish to win
But because I want to be
            Happy

I get a rush of lust
Of desire
Of trust
As I view the serene day from a
         different  perspective

I try not to let things hold me down
To never bear a frown
Or even carry a worry

Because life is not about the desire to win
Yet, the faith in being happy

While I see these horses running, so gleefully and gay
I decide I will be just like them
Running about without a doubt
Just to let the future come

In the end, it's not about the sorrows that bring you down
But the fact that you didn't do something at all

When I view these horses play
I think
I will be just like them

I like how you characterize horses. Your descriptions are great. Good vocabulary. Overall it's very well written.

This box begs me to tell about myself. Such a vague question, for I barely know who I am. I'm currently stuck in a musical and literary purgatory; indecisive to what I will do too with my life. I'm a .. more..
