A story about death. Which for all things, is inevitable. I right this to all who have died and all that will die. Especially, the ones close to you and I.
In the second line "past" should be "passed" Past refers to things that have happened, passed refers to people "passing on". On a sidenote, I like saying they died better. they are dead. But that's just me. I always think of what my grandmother kept saying right after my grandfather died, "He didn't pass, by me in the night? Pass what? He died. He's dead. I didn't loose him? Loose him where, in the grocery store? He's dead. I know where he is."
I like the first line and I love the use of "tint of gray"
I liked the poem, especially in the last two stanzas.

Thank you for pointing that out! I must of overlooked it!
Enchanting, with the lilting "old word" charm. Without being disrespectful of the bond and relationship, the poem progresses and the poetic persona deals with the fading away and moving on of life. Very compelling writing.

This box begs me to tell about myself. Such a vague question, for I barely know who I am. I'm currently stuck in a musical and literary purgatory; indecisive to what I will do too with my life. I'm a .. more..
