Too Far Away

Too Far Away

A Poem by Bethany Woody

Wherever I stand,
you're too far away.
I tell you, "I love you!",
and you have nothing to say.

Try to show you
how much I really care.
But it's so hard
when you're not there.

Again and again
I give testimony.
Beg you to stay,
be my sancuary.

I tell you,
"I'm sorry."
But you don't think
I speak honestly.

Don't want to be here
alone after all.
Please catch me,
break my fall.

Dedikcated to us
till the very end.
Be my conscience,
be my friend.

But you can't hear
all these things I say.
Because wherever I stand
you're too far away.
