Trying

Trying

A Poem by Bethany Woody

Trying to make it
through this life.
Trying to make it
through these lies.

Are you
trying to break me?
Tear me apart
bit by bit.

Trying to make you
see my side.
Trying to keep
everything in line.

Are you
really seeing me?
Stare straight
through me.

Trying to get
through this s**t.
Trying to find
how it got like this.

Are you
done with me?
Leaving me behind
without a care.

Trying to find
the answers.
Trying to fix
what all is broken.

Are you willing
to  help me?
Stay by my side
and work it all out.

Trying to find
some confidence.
Trying to find
a way past the fear.

Are you lost
to me already?
Going your own way
and saying what I want to hear.

Trying to be
strong enough.
Trying to deal
with whatever comes.

Here is another poem of yours that I relate to, very often I have felt this way. You capture what it is to put your all into someone or something only to have it not be the way you thought it was. Straight from the heart.
