An undulating sea
of yellow, pink, and green
gently swaying in the breeze
your twirling petals wistfuly tease.
Buttercups and daisies
a child's innocent boquet
given with love and reverance
on a long ago Mother's Day.
Viewed along the mountain road
they always lead the way home
with cerulean blue and indian red
you find a Texan born and bred.
Twisted, creeping vines
lain upon the Earth in un-lines
fashioned lanes of a lover's bounty
traveled by feet of every county.
Through the years, the joy and pain
one thing always remains
honest in all it's blossoms
the wildflowers of Earth are awesome.
Yes, ladies and gentleman, I do know that un-lines is not really a word, but this is poetry so it counts in my book. :) Thank you all for reading I greatly appreciate it.

I loved the images that flowed from your ink on this piece!
I could feel a sense of bliss and peace. Even the sweet smell that would drift from such flowers seemed to swell from reading this.
Un-lines Hum, I like your poem. It is hard to find good peotry but this site has some of the best. I enjoy reading poems for a poet never lies they say. An undilating sea gives the impression of wall to wal flowers. It is great. Nioce start for a peom. Jay
aww ....We can misperceive the beauty we see, and be misled about its nature, as well as perceive this to be the way that it is, this was wonderfully written. thank you for entering my contest.
Love it... laying out the beauty that is all across this land but many fail to notice... your words created a vivid image in my mind making me long for a nice road trip just so i can look at these marvels in person.
This is my letter to the world,
That never wrote to me,-
The simple news that Nature told,
With tender majesty.
Her message is committed
To hands I cannot see;
For love of her, sweet .. more..
