Angel Eyes

Angel Eyes

A Poem by Bethany Woody

Angel eyes staring back at me

Through glass

Beyond which you can’t see.

Angel eyes speak to me

Without words

There is no need.

Angel eyes so blue

Chubby cheeks

Ten fingers and toes too.

Angel eyes of perfection

To me

A gift from heaven.

Angel eyes like her mother

But belonging

To my daughter.

This was beautiful Beth! And its amazing how our
children make us feel just by watching a simple
thing as looking through a window.

Great write as always! Keep up the great work.

This is a wonderful tribute to your daughter, Nothing like the love between a Mother and a daughter.

Awe what a very sweet poem... the connection to that newborn has to be a feeling beyond words but still you showed just how instant the love can be... WONDERFUL!!

i love this poem. the connection between daughters & mothers is so deep. i love the imagery, how you liken your daughter's eyes to an angels. flow is smooth as silk. beautifully written.
