Just a Little Longer

Just a Little Longer

A Poem by Punkgyrl3
"

A few people in my world committed suicide during my teenage years. This poem is not a refection of my own feelings, but more an exploration of what those people thought or felt...Just me trying to come to grips with all the awful events...

"

A shot.  Bang…drip drip

I’m waiting, but the blood hasn’t dripped for the last time

Soon…It will

They are swallowed now and I feel the acids in my stomach

Eating through the lining to poison my insides

A minute or two…I’m ready

The slices are big and I can see bone

But the veins are still pumping me with life

…Almost

Falling and falling to depths, deeper and darker

The pavement is coming

The end is almost here

Breathe in, breathe out…Eye rolling back

I can feel my lungs suffocating

Just a little longer
