The Jump

The Jump

A Poem by PunkCoffee

Hollow chest, empty lungs

Droopy eyes and quiet tongues

Just another blank page.

Cold cheeks, empty hands

Metal fence and rusty cans

Just another lonely one.

Clashing waves, rough cement

Shaking limbs and, oh, so spent

Just another simple step.

Blinding wind, passing cars

Deep breath and useless tears

Just another look around.

Hollow chest, empty lungs

Please

Let me take the plunge
