Bound To You

Bound To You

A Poem by Caleb

Bound to You

Never ceasing to be amazed;

The beauty shared, my spirits razed.

I looked in you, for loving hand,

I found in you, a coming brand.

You stretch and pull, my body torn;

Wishing not your unloving scorn.

You only wish for me the best;

But malice touch you do invest.

Bondage you brought, upon my head;

Chains you secured, to paths you’ve led.

No more I say, today I stand;

I shall refuse your callous hand.

But chain you’ve locked its strength it keeps;

Promising joy, but pain it reaps.

Loosening are, those bonds you’ve latched;

But pain you’ve caused I’ve been attached.

I am my own; such foolish thought,

I’m Bound to you, though I have fought.
