My Last Goodbye

My Last Goodbye

A Poem by Caleb
"

Its just a simple poem still in the works. Its a little rough around the edges, but the majority of it is still there.

My Last goodbye

To arms I say, youthful nation

To fields I say, men of passion.

The battle is quick, not to last

Stay here, stay strong, courage hold fast

Let not your fear hold back thy hand

Allow thy passion to guide to land

Let blood be spilled on fields of wheat

Allow thy woman no need to grieve

Keep safe my friend in lands of fear

Remember me when end shall near

Go on to feast in glory’s tone

Remember me when all atone

Allow me not to cloud thy mind

Allow no tear when peace to find

Away you go, to seek their end

Away you go, my sword I lend

I left in you a piece of me

Never alone you are to be

In you my son, to be set free

My spirit’s end, a costly fee

Join me when thy mission complete

Await until cold night’s relief

To you who sit on petty throne

To you the weak I have not known

I give to you my peaceful thought

You take in me, a fight worth fought

Never to learn, never again

Never to be, my peace regain
