Replaced

Replaced

A Story by Kristen
"

Part 3 to my series; Betrayal, Moving On, and now, Replaced.

"

Back to school you go, and the hours turn into days that turn into weeks, and before you know it a month has passed. Yes, you have to see them every day, but the slight jab of pain lessens as time goes on. Ah, but then something new and unexpected happens: you are replaced. Nothing is nastier than the feeling of being useless, of being disposable, and because of human nature we react in strange ways to these emotions. When you are replaced these feelings all collect into a festering cesspool of hurt and disgrace. Your stomach turns, your throat clogs and air suddenly seems difficult to find - every second seems to be a test of how well you can keep yourself together, how strong you truly are. Well, guess what? You’re sick of these tests and you’re tired of barely passing. Life is too short to be spent in pain and around people who are existing only to see when you’ll crack.

So guess what? I’m replacing them. Two can play this game.
