Master of HorrorA Poem by KristenAn experience with the Devil, inspired by my friend's poem a little bit.Master of horror, As soon as the windows of my soul closed You dominated my every thought, my every vision. I lived and breathed you in as much as I could, Willingly, Unable to suppress my infatuation with your likeness. But you deceived me. Master of horror, You enticed me, seduced me And knew I could not resist your offer. As soon as my mind let go of the fear Of you, You held me close and would not let me go. I did not know of your motives. Master of horror, As my soul departed from my body My last glimpse was of you shrieking in triumph. I felt betrayed and mislead, You did not care, All I was to you was another victim. I did not see through you. Master of horror, I did not recognize you, The true monster of my mind, Until I woke up. © 2010 KristenAuthor's Note
