My Sole Beam of Sunshine

My Sole Beam of Sunshine

A Poem by Kristen
"

Will you be my sole beam of sunshine?

"

Remember the days
When the sun was ablaze?
Day after day we lived in a daze.

Remember the times
We'd hear sweet summer's chimes?
I can hardly believe those days were real sometimes.

But now I've fallen,
Heard death callin'.
And now all I think you're doing is stallin'.

Let's turn back,
Get out of this black
Pit of doom; we're way off track.

Get rid of this sadness,
Let go of this madness,
And crawl back to those days of true essence.

That's all I want to do,
But I can continue only with you.
Will you be my sole beam of sunshine?

Another power sad piece, I've been able to feel the pain behind each poem you've written it's beautiful and very sad which tends to make for the best poetry most of the time. I love the second half of this piece the best as it has a little more optimistic tone as if there is hope and faith to shine light into the darkness even though we all must learn that we cannot be healed from the source of your pain. I understand the feelings you expressed toward the end, and it's very well done. This was another well written piece, thank you for sharing!
