Heaven

Heaven

A Poem by Patrick O'Neil

What is it, to be calm and still? To not always, hunger. What is it, to have joy and laughter? To never cry, have pain or anger. Is it, a dream, a apparition. Stepping in when you least expect, and gone, just as sudden. This is the carrot, of immortal bliss. Humanity yokes under. A place, where there is no pain. No regret, fear or shame. Where loved ones meet. Open arms and happy feet. Far beyond human reach. In the heart and mind, its in belief. If you seek it, truly will you find, but to be there, and really live it. The mortal coil, must unwind.
