Another Day

Another Day

A Poem by Psykolabe

I can't really get you off my mind.
You're there everywhere I look,
And gone when I try to find you.

I'm so pathetic, Writing to myself
Saying all those words you'll never hear
Not like you're really meant to anyway.

I'd say "hello", but you'd brush me off
Just like the dirt I am.

Do I care about anyone anymore?
Not really.

You're not just anyone though, are you?
Not to me, you arent.

I locked eyes with you, from down the crumbling hallways.
For that mere moment, I was gone.

Everything inside of me.
Weightless,
Non-existent.

I was one with everything, and one with nothing.

Pop!
Back to Real life,
There goes gravity again.
Always bringing me down.
All in a moment.

I looked away,
Afraid you'd see me,
See me caring.

Afraid to show I was more person than animal.
But still,
That moment has since haunted the vacant halls of my blank mind.

Made me dream.
Made my skin tingle,
You made me want to try.

But that was that moment.
And this is now.
Never to see you again.
Just thought I'd tell you,
So long.

I'll be here till next time.

Aww. I like this one too. I can empathize more than I'd like to admit to myself.
"Made me dream.
Made my skin tingle,
You made me want to try."
Especially with that. And the bit about feeling silly writing to yourself though the person is not meant to see it. And don't get me started on the first stanza, for that matter. I'm actually somewhat grateful it's not like that anymore..
Anyway, this is a lovely poem.
