cherry andrade

cherry andrade

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

there is no reason why

"
passionate
kiss my porcelain skin
decorate me in words
a parade under the sun
melting into the lilac sky
i see dreams you have of me

bless the stars
cast the moon upon me
electricity of your touch
the fizzy cola of midnight illume
shine me luna, in your sleep

there is no reason why

The writing style is different from some of your other stuff
It’s quite refreshing and reminds me of my own style

This poem reminded me of The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (in the best way imaginable). I could see the porcelain skin, the parade under the sun, the lilac sky, the secret dreams, the stars, the moon, and finally the midnight.
Thank you for writing such a beautiful poem, Ben.
