希望

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

Hope

"

Gentle 朝-
lend me a hand so I can rise
and listen for the one
who calls me her friend

I am often anxious
that the sunlight is
just a dream
Rain is less forgiving

I hope you find peace
and I hope you can believe
and I hope you realize
how much you mean to me
because without you
I have little to express

Blood can stain
among with many tears
it doesn't mean what you feel
makes you any less of who you are

We all fall apart sometimes
it's who we are
You fell a little further
but it means you'll rise above us

Hopefully not too close
to the brightest light of all

I hope you find peace
and I hope you can believe
and I hope you realize
how much you mean to me
because without you
I have little to express

I hope your wounds heal
and I hope you come to terms
with the faith I have in you
and I hope you find true happiness
even if you leave for pastures new
It's not what you lose in life
it's what you decide to keep in your memories

it's not what you lose in life
it's what you decide to keep in your memories

These lines are so beautiful to me. There are always times of darkness, but dwelling on them has never made anyone happy, least of all me. This is beautifully penned E. Supporting and Adoring, but also with a bit of knowledge that some things may not last. Some rides are much longer than others, and if we're lucky we can still summon a smile when they end.

It makes me happy to know you are in a better place. It shows in your writing.

Hi Elliott, I very much like the ending. Loss is part of life but it is also its richness. Without loss, there would be no attachment, no vulnerability, no meaning.

Well done.
