Use My Allusion

Use My Allusion

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

I won't burden you with my insecurities

"
I sometimes feel as weak as
the loneliest flower
I'm clinging to the breeze
but I won't surrender to my fears
I'm just afraid this was all for nothing
because I don't want to be alone

But I know you're waiting for me
I won't burden you with my insecurities
My thoughts can be callous
They speak in in harsh tones
"She has forgotten you"
but I'm not the man I once was

I want to wander among the trees
and watch the branches wave to the sky
If I could, I'd send my agonies up high
and let the wind carry them away
I don't need them anymore
because I am finally grown

I really liked this one. The image you painted for the reader is sorrowful but hopeful at the same time. Thanks for sharing! :)

You sure do paint an image, Ell. Good use of words, and structure.
