Green Cookies (グリーンクッキー)A Poem by Simon WelshYou are the silver lining
A Japanese sun rises
like a gentle kiss on my cheek Is it fair to look up at the same sky alone? I taste the green cookies you gifted me that day I hope the poetry inspired by your gentle touch is worthy of your gentle, gentle eyes I see the rain falling but you give me shelter You are the silver lining I am the greyest cloud We belong among the seasons The sunbeams kiss your face I tread through soft snow Even as the sun sets We, alone under the moon await the day to begin once more... for the precious, precious time we have left © 2015 Simon Welsh |
