SlánA Poem by Simon WelshI wanted the simple life
I wish I could leave all of this behind
I look at how far I've come and I realise that I am lost I wanted the simple life where frosty dawns would give way to warm kisses from the one I love... Instead I wake to fading walls the world doesn't wait to unfold Each heavy step I take reminds me I'm alone Someday I will follow the sun and leave this sadness behind until then I'm keeping the pain inside I see the love of my life being whisked away to lands unknown and I'm watching her leave with tears in my eyes Crowds of strangers around me and they all seem at home with each other Here I am, unsure of where I should be cause I don't belong to anyone.. © 2015 Simon WelshFeatured Review
