Bridget

Bridget

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

it never shows in your words

"
I can see lilac clouds fading into my garden
I never thought roses bloom in the night
That warmth always embraces me
whenever I hear your voice
But you're across the sea
and still in my mind

Callous words never did define me
but I feared what I became
If you still bear any resenment
it never shows in your words
But you're across the sea
and I'm still in your mind

Sometime distance doesn't seem to matter so much. Words are only words, if someone knows where they come from. sometimes Elliot, my friend, it's the situation and the understanding of it that is important. Not everyone bears hard feelings for harsh words, if there is something to outweigh them.

Two people linked by simple thought
is there anything more profound
two brains always feeling one another
wondering what happens

Well life happens
so beautifully done here my friend

A wise woman never would let resentment cloud out beauty and this is a beautiful write.
