Paint the Raindrops

Paint the Raindrops

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

Carve up what's left of my happiness

"

I rest my head in a bed of dying flowers

Carve up what's left of my happiness

As long as you are all content

I'll just feign consent

I suppose I'll just have to pretend

but this smile is like a wound

bleeding from my face

Why won't you care?

I'm almost crying

I wish I could sew my mind back together

and keep my desires and fears

in the trash where they belong

Yeah … I'd trash the fears but your desires are meant to be free, not trashed. The ones you are a match too will come back to you when the time is right. Just know you are just fine if not one of them ever came back … but some will.
