Hunk/Tofu

Hunk/Tofu

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

I dissolve into my gut instinct

"
Let's try this again...

Silence cuts the flesh
Boredom is the deepest scar
I know I am supposed to care
but really, I'm just alone

Here we are, insecure
I dissolve into my gut instinct
Words I fear more than pain
even if you were to break
that whip upon my back

I'm branded
and I'm fine
I'll channel this longing
til I'm sick to death of it

Shine black shine
I want the heavens to crack
There is no sun in your world
I don't want you stealing mine

Tethered by my crying veins
I should sever what little of me loves
I know I am supposed to care
but really, I'm just alone

B
You have this dark style
yet has sparks of elegance to it
Like the perfect shades
So cool
And you carry your words so well

Its just mad good poetry

Elliot … the depth and shimmer of your soul is beautiful beyond compare. Remember as deep the despair as high the bliss. Don't ever stop writing.

I love this one. The verses carry the words along like waves. It's very interesting.
