In Love To Grow Bored and Eventually SeparateA Poem by Simon WelshI was naive and it was great
That is how young love comes and goes
Still, it seemed such a thrill when I was fourteen What I knew, what I believed, what I felt means more to me now because there's little to compare Yeah, I'm smiling, smiling, smiling because these days I am usually bored Back when I knew nothing I was always smiling, smiling, smiling I was naive and it was great My first love found a home among the hills I was inbetween two valleys without a clue I don't miss her; I just miss how she made me feel To her, I was just some other boy It makes sense to me but it still makes me sad I wish I could fall in love as easily as I did when I was young Instead, I have to take the hard way round to the same conclusion One smile that weathers the rain with soaked sentiments which bloom in the dying sunlight Really, it's the same old regret I let another piece of my heart slip through my fingers I wish I was naive as when I was fourteen © 2015 Simon WelshFeatured Review
