Drown Sunshine

Drown Sunshine

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

Pain isn't an accessory

"
She eats the petals of flowers
even as they wilt and rot inside her
No scars of mine are symmetrical
because pain isn't an accessory

Threw a rope around the moon
thought of hanging myself there
Still, the dreams of stars explode 'round me
There's nothing like watching hopes die

A halo of chewed roses, a scratched arm
I'll tear at myself till I feel content
Rain drowns the last bit of sunshine
maybe now I wash these feelings away

I agree with the painting thing.

I'm sorry, but it's actually a bit comical. I can just picture you in my head just running around frantically, and throwing paint onto a canvas.

Like a mad man.

Deep and beautiful. Like the previous comment, it's like a painting.
