Doctor SleepA Poem by Simon WelshI spent my twenties getting over my teen years
I left my lost hours hanging from the coat hook
There's nothing left to salvage here What became of my 'peace of mind''? 'Cause I spent my twenties getting over my teen years Who are you? At least, who have you become? I see you in my mirror but the reflection tells lies I don't mind what I see as long as I still have a grip on everything in years to come I won't sleep if I can't dream Nothing else will keep me company in the early hours My shadow seems to be stalling wherever I walk Maybe it's yesterday slipping away from me © 2014 Simon WelshFeatured Review
