Nature's Photograph

Nature's Photograph

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

But a photograph keeps the tears inside and the joy everlasting

"
Weave your hands through the azure sky
and you will retrieve precious sapphires
Skip them over the yawning ocean
till the sun casts you in gold

Every rose petal eventually wilts
Every snowflake fades with the season
But a photograph keeps the tears inside
and the joy everlasting

Your wings may be clipped though
you wear that halo upon your heart
Cherry blossom within your mind
leads to a path far beyond any liberty we have here

Every dewdrop eventually dries
Every song has to end
But a photograph keeps the tears inside
and the love everlasting

This made me smile. Very true, just like a memory of a good time it can never be taken away. Beautifully painted.

I think that freedom you seek is within, for sure. Another brilliant piece.

I am speechless.....
*I lied* This is very well written and the word choice is astounding! I found every stanza held a coat of truth and a lot of meaning :)
