Meeting Point of the Sky and the Earth

Meeting Point of the Sky and the Earth

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

I'm not a dying flower

"
In a different life I'm somewhere in liberty
I'm a better man than I am now
with a future resting on every leaf of Summer
No one would dare hang their troubles on me
I'm not a dying flower
Don't break my will to always look for the sun

In a different life I'm always so serene
No more nights wasted
instead I'll yearn to always create something wonderful
Perhaps it's the expectations that rest within
and forced on by others
Don't let me be the black cloud you wave away

I won't ever complain
I won't ever let myself get hurt
I'll just be alone with the lush, emerald countryside
I won't ever look back after I cross
the meeting point of the sky and the earth
