Electric Love

Electric Love

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

I just want to skip stones across the sky

"
Just hitching a ride on the cosmic astral belt
so I can get away from the bad vibrations
There's more to life than death
so let the emotions fade when they can

Leave me be
I just want to skip stones across the sky
until the stars shine in technicolour

Being misunderstood is easy and I should know
I can't tune in and yet dropping out is easy
Electric love is what my heart craves
and thus, I am deprived what I most desire

Leave me be
I just want to skip stones across the sky
until you need the sunshine as I do

Just hitching a ride on a path of stardust
till I reach the gemstones of a perfect galaxy
And if you can shed the sadness within
I won't be alone when the midnight sun rises

There was both a sense of whimsy and melancholy to this one that gave it a very full palette and the imagery was wonderful.

You still can write well for writers block. I'm kind of jealous.
