The Sky

The Sky

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

But maybe it's just nothing

"
I wish I could be
I wish I could be in love
But I could be content
with how I feel when I look upon
the sky

I want adoration and affection
To kiss in embrace every morning
But maybe it's just nothing
I see nothing but
the sky

I wish I could be
I wish I could be in love
Or maybe my sadness can be
replaced by the one true purity
The sky

I wish I
I wish I could be
I wish I could lie on my back
and watch the sky fade to indigo

This is really nice, a lovely write. Romantic, and showing need and want for love, a lover. I really like this poem, especially the way you use the sky in the poem too.

Imagery and humility is seen within this piece and I can definitely relate. I wish that, too. I love this so much.
