As The Sun Fades

I never realised how beautiful these past few days were
until I woke up alone in the sullen grey
Everyone I care for seems to vanish into the past
They smile at me through my old photographs

I wish you could have remained with me
even for just one more day
I don't want to lose another person I love

And as the sun fades
I never want to leave this place
even if you already have
these memories will remain with me always

I never realised how beautiful this life can be
until I was faced with how little faith I have
Just for once, for all of us who remember fondly
can we have our beautiful Summer back?

I wish you all could have stayed
even if you wave goodbye in my dreams
I don't want to lose the biggest part of my heart
to cruel, cruel fate

And as the sun fades
I never want to leave this place
even if you already have
these memories will remain with me always

Someday we will meet again
I don't know how but maybe
I'll find my way through this life
and you'll all be waiting for me
It will be just like old times

i really liked this poem because i could really feel the strong emotion in it. i could sense it was about someone you lost and its such a familiar feeling for me that i just couldnt help but sense these could have been my own feelings even. excellent write :)
