I've wasted another wish
on an unforgiving night sky
for my soul mate to appear
in a glimmer of stardust

I dream of her when I am lonely
but she walks past like I
don't even exist to her

Am I the missing piece of her heart?

I've wished upon another falling star
maybe my luck will save
maybe she will catch me instead
though I have nothing to lose
and everything to gain

I dream of her shadow upon my heart
I wish that the life I lead
would be enough for her to remain
lest I regret the day I was born

I dream of her when I am lonely
because there is no one else
I'd let my heart be truly broken

Is she unsure of what makes me happy?

I just wish I could make her happy
to protect her from this life
or at least make her smile
when the darkness falls upon her
because her happiness is all I need
Maybe this life is fools gold
but it's good enough for me
because I'd give it up for her
