Marie

Marie

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

Sparkle

"
You're the pearly glow of a midnight dream
almost a pathway to a world beyond this
I can hear the songs of the fallen angels
they speak to me, like no one else

You're the melody of a forgotten verse
still sung by the seraph of yesterday
I can always see my special place
reflected in your eyes...

I wish you was my secret
so you could steal me away
to a world where I could belong

You're the lost colour of the rainbow
that still emanates through my window
whenever I struggle to sleep
I imagine you beside me...

I wish you cared for me
I gave up each wish for you
for a world where we belonged

On instruments made of unicorn hair
we play the theme of our lost years
the sorrow of departure
when I wake up without you...

I love the creative imagery in your works. I never get tired reading them... It's like day dreaming about wonderlands...

I loved the imagery you used in this one, E.
It sounds like a marvelous and magical fantasy.

The lines:
'I gave up each wish for you
For a world where we belonged'
resonated with me the most.

...this is far too beautiful to be without a review! It simply takes my breath away, Elliott!
