Modern life is the cause of all depression The shallowness of many leaves us deprived Will we ever find a cure for this virus? The symptoms of a longer, unfulfilled life
This is where we were born just to give in again and again
Can't buy your way out of your denial this is where we abuse ourselves It's never the system's fault just the heart of the mechanical beast
This is where we were born just to sell our souls for the omnipotent
Modern life is the reason for my ills What's your excuse, you depressed beauty? There's no bi-polar, you want to feel important we all suffer the same everyday
This is where we were born everything is eventual from here to nowhere
It seems as though you're questioning the validity of someone's source of depression/mental illness when we all seem to be 'depressed' these days. There are people who have serious mental illnesses where it is not a choice and they do go through the manic/depressive cycles with bipolar disorder. However, I guess I also know others who like to adopt a label and make self-pity their priority.
Your mind ponder on a diverse series of topics and this poem exhibits your concerns very nicely. A lot's going on and i'm quite interested to where the direction of your poems lead. I'm glad i read this one my friend!
True sometimes modern life causes depression. We always somehow will have it.
the mental condition is a cause also. But good job i find this poem speaking your mind
and so i love it if it brings this much conflict and emotion into your words.`1oo
Although everyone experiences depression at some time in their lives, not everyone overcomes the feeling. All have varying perspectives, it's just how you see it and how you take it in every bullshit that falls into your lap. Not everyone are strong enough to bear it, not everyone have the balls to stand up and not cry about it.
