I live in the
Heavy Metal Machine
each thundering bass and lightning chord
resonate through me so
I need the elixir of the God’s
to keep my head together
I love whisky
I love whisky
My f*****g liberty
is to get wasted
so I can escape... me
I live in the
changing skies
I am born with every raindrop
and I die with the broken clouds
I want to wash away
in an ocean one hundred percent pure
I love whisky
I love whisky
My f*****g liberty
is to get wasted
so I can escape... me
This is my escape
My escape from this Hell Hole
This is my escape
My past, present and future
My escape, My escape
and you can’t judge me anymore
Lovely rhythm and structure. Not an extra word. As always, well done. I've read most of your stuff on here. And I am immensely impressed by a talent so young. If I could make one suggestion. Well, three really. I get the anger and the pain but that is really only half of any story. Start looking for and including in your work more the beauty, love and yes, dare I say the humour. There was both love and beauty in the Cathedral piece, and I was so impressed, I shelved it.

If you really want to be blown away by lyrical writing, check out Gordon Downie from the Tragically Hip. He's beyond amazing.
I don't know.. Axl has written some beautiful lyrics (check This I Love and Catcher in the Rye).

I enjoyed reading this! I can really tell your love for Gun's and what not through this poem. Also the structure was great and the large print reminded me of how when you got to a concert the sound is just so loud and resonating. Nice poem.
