Pink Petals (Chinese Flowers)A Poem by Simon Welsh
You're the floral pattern in the dark skies
that threatens to never leave even if you fade into the sunlight Bloom within my heart softly just don't wilt before I have the chance to admire what I will lose I'm the fire that reigns deep within the falling debris of a kingpin's skid row though my silver tongue charm remains There is nothing else I'd rather be so accept that rain will fall from the serenity you inspired So before we learn to despise can we find some leverage in a land where the ocean blankets the past? Dreaming of a lost New Years Day where waking up is just an excuse to hear your voice again © 2013 Simon WelshFeatured Review
