Is there any worse demon than boredom?
I didn't feel the inspiration from this Bright Eyes record
maybe I have little feel excited about
I wish I had a bottle of beer to sip
and maybe I could regale some long, lost thoughts

I'm going to take a ride
out of this damn city
and I'll find some new stories
maybe in Hamburg

When the tides are in my favour
I'll let the oceans carry me
because I have a fear of flying...
This Fascinoma album chases my blues away
but the thought of staying here a day longer...

Makes me certain
I'm going to hitch a ride
out of this damn town
and I'll find some new stories
maybe in New York

I'm a young man whose bored with the same old
How is it such bliss can leave me wanting more?
It just makes me positive that

I'm going to get a ride

and I'll add pages to my life story
maybe in Venice

A very telling line. Well penned ode regarding angst and anime. I also relate to the feeling of needing escape, to travel. I am, above all else except perhaps writer, a traveller.

Third line sounds awkward to me... re-word it? What kind of beer (4th line)? Details are great in a poem! Second stanza would make a good indie chorus song lol. Do you play any instruments? Can you try writing the music to go with it? Thanks for sharing.
