The Perfect Girl For MeA Poem by Dwain DowdyA Poem For Samantha Cotton
The perfect girl for me would be
One who looks past what she sees Past my appearance in my flaws Past the fact I have no top teeth She will say it don't matter, it's no big deal That would make me comfortable real quick She would be the kind to kiss me when she sees me Even if she knew I was sick I would be what she thought about when she laid down And her first thought waking up every day Because I'd give her reasons to think about me All of them good, I'd make them that way The girl from me would not be shy And she would open up and talk about her life She would soon understand that I listen very well That her future I know I can make very bright. by Tripp Dowdy 09/28/2019 written for Samantha Cotton. © 2019 Dwain Dowdy |
