I Am The Only OneA Poem by Dwain DowdyPoem about inner struggle with depression
I Am The Only One
by David Dwain Dowdy. I am alone in a crowded room Invisible even in light Overlooked by even doom Salvation an oversight. I Am The Only One. Made to wander endlessly Alone and extremely cold My soulless life is incomplete The creases of my life unfold. I Am The Only One. Desperation is my bed The screams stuck in my throat Every torment fills my head The Devil just watches to gloat. I Am The Only One. A loveless heart fractured perfectly Nothing good in my life have I done. Depression is my home eternally I Am The Only One. © 2019 Dwain DowdyAuthor's Note
