Clinical approaches

Clinical approaches

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Clinical approaches

Fall deep in the soul

When I see your eyes

As I am at peace

When the light shines

I fall into promises made

Between your higher self

And the woman you know I can be.

If I let love come from you to me.

I live for chaos in thought.

Your hand calmly still reaching

At times when I can’t stand.

I want to touch your fingers

But halt in my steps

Unsure I want what I deserve.

Cycles laid in cement ban me

Yet your pick ax love breaks me

When I try to make a run for it.

In truth your mark is on my heart

Ever faded by relentless denying

That the love I want is beautiful.

A lovely piece, quizzical and dreamy; at times erotic and loving. Thank you.
