So...I miss you

So...I miss you

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

So I miss you

more than I have ever thought myself capable

At least I saw your face

which gives my mind a reason

you are magic

I have power when I am with you

but my hand still feels yourh and from lifetimes past.

And it throws me off

Baby won't you hurry?

I am waiting here for you

It is not fair that you can't hold me now

My heart is screaming

and you are so far away

The moon can only bring you so far

and I am missing you so badly

it is more than I can take.

I tend to go about my business

hiding my thoughts because it feels better inside

Sometimesi feel insane for you, about you, with you

But your eyes are what I see when I look into the mirror

and how can anyone else ever compete?

Take a second and listen for me

because I am crying out  for you.

My voice is faint but my words are true

and you can hear me if you try

I am saying that I hope that you are coming

and I hope that we will have the happy ending

when the time is right

Until that second I am waiting

for this test to be over

and I love for the moment when

I can kiss you good night

please hurry because I love you

and think of me as you fall asleep

because I am missing you tonight.
