filth and morals in one look

filth and morals in one look

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Maybe I am a dirty girl

But all I can think of is the sin

Of your eyes burning into my eyes

And your fingers sending lightning bolts

Down my spine.

Oh the sweet fire

The looks that kill

And the moment that I show you

Just what a girl with my body can do for you.

Maybe this is too bold

But I couldn’t possibly worry about that

All I can think of is the sin

And the way your flesh calls for mine.

It’s beautiful and darkly sinister

And I am alive and oh so vulnerable to you.

So call me unrefined

Accuse me of sordid passion

Anything you want to say about me is true

Yet inconsequential as your body touches mine.

The demons and angels meet in us

Sunshine and moon rays through clouds

As we dive headfirst into the land of my imagination.

My wanting calls for you to explore in me

The dark mists of sensibility and morality

As that devil on my shoulder removes all shame

When I hand my love over to you.

The first line hooked me and as I read on the hook just burried iits way in deeper as the combination of love and lust built. And the concept of each layer gradually being removed, while other layers built with the raw sensuality of it. Wonderful.

This is fantastic. I love the layers - You describe yourself as dirty, paint yourself as wanton, but then you slip in that "I am oh so vulnerable to you."

The wanton, purely physical act doesn't confer that kind of vulnerability, does it? Your poem shows this struggle between the body and mind. Can't ever really separate them.

The "bad girl," opening up, shedding artifice. Brilliant.
