Wall.

Wall.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

I count the miles between us

Thought of ways to bridge that gap

Gave up and thought to write you instead.

I miss you,

I guess that is all I really want to say

And I want you to find a way to hold me tonight

I was so lonely I almost lost my mind

I had to sit with my friends as they went through their wedding presents
I have never wanted a pasta strainer more in my life

I would have killed for brand new 700 thread count silk sheets

Because that would mean that I am your wife

And that you would be sleeping beside me tonight

“All in good time, patience and hang on for just a bit longer”

Do me a favocr

Tell the angel’s I have waited long enough,

I want you here

So find a way dear heart

Come to me in the middle of the night if you have to

I wouldn’t mind being startled awake in the wee hours

If you ended up face to face, lips to lips with me.
